2] To receive the same via sms, you can text MBAL to 55333 which is toll free number. You won’t be charged for sending sms to that number.
3] There is no USSD code to check data in Reliance jio. But every time you disconnect internet, you get sms informing the data consumed in last session.
Either way, you can use MyJio app for tracking the data usage & voice call duration.

Check Jio Current Plan & Validity
Jio offers multitude yet pocket friendly plans to its customers and that’s the reason behind its massive success. Sometimes we forget, to which plan we are subscribed to and in that case we need to call customer care. Though it can be checked from MyJio app, some may not prefer to go this way. So here we are, with another jio ussd code!
To know your current Jio plan, just compose sms MYPLAN and send it to 199. As soon as you send the message, you get a reply like this:
From there, you can check the subscription status of Jio registered mobile number. It also displays whether your prime membership is active or not.
SMS, Balance & Data Enquiry Code
It is very important to check your 4G data balance frequently because when you need it most you realize that there’s no netpack available on your jio number. So what’s the easiest way of doing this? Do we need any ussd code? The answer is NO.
Compose sms typing BAL and send it to 199 from jio sim card. Within few seconds, you will get reply from jio stating your service balance, data allowance, voice/video minutes & sms quota. It will look like this:

Alternate way to check data usage on Jio
- Open setting in your android phone.
- Click on ‘data usage’
- There you can check the consumed 4G data & you can also set reminder to particular GB.

We really don’t know why Jio has provided this code because with every plan you get free calling to any network across India. But in future, if Jio launches paid call plans then you should know the number to check its details. You just need to send sms TARIFFto 191, that’s it!
